|Philips and Pacific Knowledge Systems partner to bring clinical expert intelligence to Europe
Pacific Knowledge Systems (PKS) has signed an agreement with Philips to enhance its laboratory automation system – LABOSYS – to deliver greater clinical insights as well as advanced demand management, error detection, patient-centric reporting, clinical alerting and data mining capabilities to improve the overall laboratory quality, workflow and service for Philips’ end-users.

RippleDown was used to conduct a sophisticated data mining exercise in conjunction with Philips Xcelera cardiology information system, to compare the accuracy of diagnosing ventricular hypertrophy by electro cardiography versus ultrasound. The results were presented at the European Society of Cardiology and will soon be presented at American Association of Pediatrics.

PKS’ core technology RippleDown has been acknowledged at the 2013 National Pathology Summit “Informing Clinical Decisions”. The Conference was held as part of the NHS England National Pathology Programme to review the current use of information technology in pathology services.
